The Red Kitchen offers a unique slant to mainstream catering by creating rustic, “salt of the earth” cuisine based on traditional recipes from across the globe. We use certified organic, GE free fresh produce, legumes, grains, flours and spices; our eggs are locally raised and free-range, and our meat is free-range, grass fed and organic. In addition, we have recently redesigned our menu to offer more sustainable seafood choices in line with recommendations from the Australian Marine Conservation Society.
We love and respect Mother Nature which is why our kitchen runs sustainably by implementing worm farming, composting, recycling, bulk purchasing, avoiding plastic packaging; we also use green power, water saving devices, certified organic cleaning products and energy efficient lightbulbs. We even grow some of our own produce using our own compost and natural fertiliser!
Our unique Street Food menu offers a range of delicious authentic worldly dishes presented in our mini bio-bowls and perfect matched with finger food for a great roaming style wedding or event!
In addition we provide 100% certified organic bio-plates, as well as fully biodegradable and compostable cutlery, cups and containers made from bamboo, cornstarch or sugarcane, even our cling wrap is biodegradable!
We cater for all manner of private and corporate events and offer buffet, sit down and private dinners, as well as funky street food and finger food options. We also cater for vegans and vegetarians and those with dietary intolerances; individual tastes and budgets can also be tailor designed.
The Red Kitchen is a proud member and supporter of Food Fairness Illawarra, Slow Food Australia, The True Food Network and we support Wesley Mission Australia in helping the homeless and mentally ill!
